Cutting the material

CUTTING MATERIAL

It is not difficult, if we do this carefully and have sharp tailor's scissors. It is most convenient to cut the material on an even, flat surface. With large patterns, it can be a clean floor. Basic utensils are needed to accurately cut the desired form.

1. MARKING OF PLACES – We always cut the fabric along the thread – along the thread, a perpendicular to the warp. Use a set square to mark perpendicular cutting lines and draw them with no description.

2. CUTTING THE MATERIAL – We cut with tailor's scissors along the designated lines. Coarse weave fabrics can be cut along the slit created when the thread is pulled out.

MARKING BY NOTCHING

Sometimes you need to join two pieces of fabric together from the top edge to the bottom edge. So that in every part the hair or shade goes in the same direction, we cut the top edge with the tip of scissors.
