SEWING A TRIM WITH A CORD ALONG THE EDGE OF THE FABRIC

SEWING A TRIM WITH A CORD ALONG THE EDGE OF THE FABRIC

1.WALLING THE ENDS OF THE STRING – Sew the hem to the right side of one of the fabric pieces. We are leaving 2,5 bet cm and after 5 cm of free string at each end. From each free end of the string, we cut out half the strands, make them thinner.

2.FASTENING THE TWINE – We twist the free ends of the string and connect them with a thread, we put on one end of the string 6 mm inside out. We attach the end of the pleat to it and trim the remaining stock to 1,5 cm.

3.COMBINING THE WHOLE – We put on the free ends of the pleat around the string. We sew them along the seam line, which is marked by a string. The places where the stripes form the pleat are sewn with a slightly visible stitch. We hide the connection point in the seam or in the middle of the fabric.
