TRIM WITH A STRING
1.MEASURING TWINE – We select the appropriate string and steaming it, to prevent later shrinkage. We measure the necessary length of the string, adding 3 cm match. We cut the pleat of the necessary width and length from the bias.
2.Edging the string with a pleat – Place the string in the center of the pleat on its left side. We fold the pleat along the string, we fasten with pins and baste. We sew both edges of the pleat right next to the string. If we sew on a machine, we can use the foot for zippers.
TRIM BINDING WITH A STRIPED STRIP
1.PREPARATION OF THE TRIM – Trim and trim a piece of string of the required length with the pleat, adding 10 cm of space for joints. We put the hem with a string on the right side of the fabric, so that the edge of the material coincides with the edge of the trim. We attach it to the material, trim the protruding parts and baste them.
2. SEWING A TRIM WITH A STRING – Place the second piece of fabric on the fabric with the trim with a string attached, right side in. We baste and sew both layers with the string inside close to the string, using the zipper foot.
